We'll pick you up at a convenient pick up point and drive you to Rancho El Charro, in the rural village of Playa Grande, nestled on the banks of the Pitillal River at the foot of the Sierra Madre Mountains. Enjoy a continental breakfast, and then mount one of our well-trained animals specially selected for your level of riding skill. Upriver your guide will identify the tropical trees, plants and wildlife a long the trail. You will visit a small waterfall in a jungle arroyo and later return to the river, a great place for a swim! Continuing your ride you arrive at a mountain lookout point with a magnificent view of the bay and town below. Surrounded by lush tropical vegetation, you continue to a rustic jungle restaurant. The meal is authentic Mexican cooking accompanied by interesting salsas and side dishes such as cactus salad, charro beans, jocoque, sour cream and handmade tortillas! Enjoy soft drinks or beer, then top it off with baked bananas with honey as a special treat for dessert. We’ll take you back to your hotel after the meal.
